Gaeta Jazz Festival: the summer’s musical highlight
From July 10 to 14, the “Pearl of the Tyrrhenian” hosts the Gaeta Jazz Festival. Five days where musicians from various backgrounds bring a contemporary slice of the genre to the stage, featuring experimental and avant-garde projects bridging jazz and electronics.
The event will feature artists such as Theo Crocker, C’mon Tigre, Valentina Magaletti with Holy Tongue, Wayne Snow, Maria Chiara Argiro, and many others.
Evenings will take place at the Auditorium Santa Lucia, the La Favorita battery, and the Gardens of the Bastions of Charles V, with after-shows in various venues across Gaeta.

The 20th edition of Jazzflirt opens in Formia
Jazzflirt celebrates the more traditional side of jazz with events held as part of the Formi@live – Nights of Caposele festival, supported by the Municipality of Formia with a contribution from the Lazio Region. The scenic Caposele archaeological area serves as the stage for performances by national and international artists, as well as local up-and-comers.
It kicks off on Wednesday, July 3, with the documentary “Il tocco di Piero” about composer and conductor Piero Umiliani, which will be screened at the Arena Santo Janni. The film traces the musician’s life and career through his songs and archival material.
Thursday, July 4: Opening of the photographic exhibition for the twenty years of Jazzflirt at the municipal courtyard, featuring images by photographers who have captured the performing artists over the years.
Friday, July 5: Illogic Trio, three musicians from Salerno and their artistic project featuring unsettling atmospheres and interesting fusions.
Saturday, July 6: Roberto Ottaviano and his “Eternal Love” quintet pay tribute to Africa at the municipal courtyard.
Sunday, July 7: TETRAD 4et with an entirely original repertoire, presenting their first CD on this occasion. The evening’s guest will be singer Gloria Trapani.
Friday, July 12: Karima and Walter Ricci pay tribute to Italian music from the ’50s and ’60s.
Saturday, July 20: Elisabetta Serio, Letizia Gambi, Ilaria Capalbo, Elisabetta Saviano, and Giovanna Famulari will take us on a “journey among women, made of passion and poetry, energy and femininity, rooted in Neapolitan origins, Mediterranean melodies, and American rhythms, expressed through the universal language of jazz.”
Monday, July 29: Danilo Rea brings all his talent to the Jazzflirt stage, blending jazz, pop, and classical music through improvisation and emotion.
Saturday, August 3: Tosca closes the 20th edition of the festival in style with a concert featuring songs from the past and some new releases.
We look forward to seeing you all in Gaeta and Formia for a July filled with jazz music!
